Hi everyone, welcome to GiftsandStitch! 

My name is Blaire, and I am the owner and creator of this personalized shop.

Ever since I was little, I had a creative side…I vividly remember asking for a laminating machine for Christmas and practicing crochet or needlepoint. Creating was fun, especially when I was able to gift it to someone. Who doesn’t love something homemade and personal?! 

As I got older, I ended up taking a different path and becoming a CPA, where I spent many years as an auditor and forensic accountant. After my 3rd baby was born, I decided I didn't want to miss out on the little things in their lives, so I made the difficult decision to leave my accounting career.  Although I do still maintain my CPA license every year, which helps with running a small business like this one! 

In 2020 I ended up needing a spinal fusion due to a ruptured disc in my neck.  During my recovery, instead of watching TV and movies, I started reading and researching the creative industry and couldn’t get it off my mind. When I was back on my feet, and during covid I started making personalized mask bags for friends. This eventually evolved into designing and printing drinkware and other custom items. I LOVE creating something special and unique for others. 

After a few years, I have finally added embroidery to the business, and GiftsandStitch was born. I am SO EXCITED for this journey and cannot wait to help you each find the perfect personalized gift for yourself, a friend, or loved one.  Thank you all for your support!
